Well I have been pretty much locked to my computer on a night after I joined online poker site Titan Poker but I can’t help but feel a little sick at the happenings that hit me last night, seeing my trip aces getting cracked by a much weaker hand on the river card.
Now I’m not about to start a whole post about the way in which I think that online poker is rigged or anything like that but this is my place to be able to vent a little and it seems that you guys enjoy reading it as it seems I have a few followers that keep returning to see the updates of my online gambling antics, thanks for that!
Anyway, the incident happened while I was playing one of the regular sit and go tournaments that seem to have become my preferred game style recently and it meant that I was eliminated from the tournament in 4th place, something that I have to admit does not happen to me too often as I tend to stay quite reserved when playing small tournaments like these, I mean simply placing in the money leaves me in profit for my time so there is no need to push the flow of the game too much as that is when you start to make mistakes.
Anyway the hand began three hand and by the time that the flop had landed and nothing looked like it was going to give my pocket aces any form of challenge I thought that I would simply slow play the situation, a big mistake in the end!
By the time that we hit the river, one of the guys dropped out of the fight for the hand but I still had one player about to be able to take advantage of; that is until he called my pot bet and he hit the most sickening card that could have seen (only realised this after the showdown!).
With the river card giving me triple Aces, I thought that without a flush or straight possible from the board, I was in good stead to win the hand and simply toyed with my opponent until he pushed all in, quickly followed by me as a huge grin crossed my face, a grin that was soon removed when he revealed quad 4’s!
Let me just say that my computer was a little worse for wear after the blow and I instantly quit out of Titan to avoid getting into a rage.
Now that I have taken a little break from the action and have seen that there must be thousands of people in the same situation as me, I’m a little more relaxed about the issue and can even talk about it without the red rage kicking in and making me want to track the player down to get my money back, after all, we’ll more than likely meet again.
Although enlightened in terms of my mood, I think that I might have a little play about with some online casino games tonight, just need to find the best casino site I can and one that is offering the best casino bonus available to me.
Hopefully when I am playing against the house there will be a little less rage when I lose my bet but without hitting the tables yet, you can never know!
