Well I have been pretty much locked to my computer on a night after I joined online poker site Titan Poker but I can’t help but feel a little sick at the happenings that hit me last night, seeing my trip aces getting cracked by a much weaker hand on the river card.

Now I’m not about to start a whole post about the way in which I think that online poker is rigged or anything like that but this is my place to be able to vent a little and it seems that you guys enjoy reading it as it seems I have a few followers that keep returning to see the updates of my online gambling antics, thanks for that!

Anyway, the incident happened while I was playing one of the regular sit and go tournaments that seem to have become my preferred game style recently and it meant that I was eliminated from the tournament in 4^th place, something that I have to admit does not happen to me too often as I tend to stay quite reserved when playing small tournaments like these, I mean simply placing in the money leaves me in profit for my time so there is no need to push the flow of the game too much as that is when you start to make mistakes.

Anyway the hand began three hand and by the time that the flop had landed and nothing looked like it was going to give my pocket aces any form of challenge I thought that I would simply slow play the situation, a big mistake in the end!

By the time that we hit the river, one of the guys dropped out of the fight for the hand but I still had one player about to be able to take advantage of; that is until he called my pot bet and he hit the most sickening card that could have seen (only realised this after the showdown!).

Well I’m not too ashamed to admit that I was one of the people that rushed out to buy the latest addition of the Call of Duty series of games, Modern Warfare 3.

So not so long ago I told you about how I decided that I was going to take the step to playing casino games online after many years of heading out to the local casino and spending hours sat at the gaming tables.

Well I thought that I would give you a little update on the way in which things are going for me at the moment and I’m pleased to reveal that so far things are going smoothly and the transition between playing casino games live and online seems to have brought the same level of success!

Well as i'm sure many of you guys have been aware, i have been away for the past 6 weeks taking a little trip around North America, taking in the sights, cultures and more correctly tasting the alcohol that they had on offer!!!

Well to sum up the trip i have to say that the only word that would even come close to discribing the time that i had away from the dull weather back in the UK is "Epic", you know the one that is used on the MoneySupermarket advert.... Deep voice... You know the one!

Anyway, i have managed to add so many things that i wanted to do to the list i have experienced before i reach 30, a great achievement bearing in mind that on my travels i met so many people that were trying to make up for lost time.

One thing that i will say, that will be unlikely to shock those of you who know me, I did manage to get a little poker action into my trip, although as i was playing in the closest free internet offering location, i had to play online.

For some reason i didn't quite think it through and now that i look back on it, i feel stupid but for some reason i thought that i would have to sign up to on of the US poker sites if i wanted to stay within the arm of the law.

Surely you can see my point of trying to stay in line with the laws that the US have? I mean i would have looked for Canadian poker sites if i was in Canada but when i told a couple of lads that i had met on my travels the story, they seemed to believe that i could have just joined an English site.

Ah well, not like it limited me too much to the choices that i had but playing poker on a night become something that kept me from heading out and clubbing every night, although far too little as i felt extreme rough most of the time!!

Now that i'm home i'm already planning another trip and that might mean that i return back the way in which i came but more than likely i will have a look at the backpacking opportunities there are across the world, who knows... might even risk going somewhere without the internet!

Manchester Derby Could Be Vital

Well this Sunday both Manchester clubs will be going head to head in one of the biggest, most fierce battles between two clubs within the Premier League and that means that not only will three points be on the line but also the pride of the clubs in action.

Manchester United are the reigning Premier League champions from last season but City have been able to bridge the gap between the two clubs and now both sides are trading blows every week as they try to obtain the upper hand on their rivals.

Both clubs have had impressive starts to the season so far this term and neither will want to drop valuable points as they look to break clear of the chasing pack which also includes former champions Chelsea, who are currently just three points behind the duelling clubs and seeming to be avoiding the limelight.

Chelsea are also in action on Sunday against Premier League new boys QPR who have also seen a new financial backing but have failed to spend heavily on the new talent that they need to be able to compete with Villas Boas’ team and seeing other than a miracle stopping the former league champions taking the three points from the game is hard to see.

Looking at the EPL betting market, bookies seem to favour Chelsea to beat QPR as they continue to play keep up with the two Manchester clubs while many of the bookmakers are also showing that they believe that the two Manchester clubs are going to slug it out for a score draw.

Well I have started to play poker online over recent weeks and things seem to be going well for me at the tables but it seems that I have started to sway more towards large tournaments rather than heading to the cash tables, preferring to play with a wealth of poker chips rather than all of my funds at one time.

My success rate at the moment is that I tend to place in one in every four tournaments that I have entered so far so my account balance seems to have its ups and downs while never dropping below the $250 mark at the moment.

Football news reports on the BBC have today revealed that Bath City Youth side were knocked out of the FA Youth Cup last night as the club experienced the strangest game of their history, a game that saw five players sent off.

Well once again Manchester City have failed to complete a deal that simply HAD to be done, especially since the player involved has already gone public with his desire to leave the club!

Football news sources have revealed that the club have messed Brazilian football club Corinthians about so much that now their £40 million pursuit for Carlos Tevez has had to be brought to an end thanks to transfer deadlines almost falling upon them.
